Helen L. Edmonds
Office Administrator

Helen Edmonds is the Office Administrator of Progress Engineering. A practicing attorney in environmental and land use law for 16 years, Helen joined Progress Engineering in 2011 to assist her husband, Dana Hodgkin, with administrative tasks and to spend more time with their growing children.

Helen graduated from Dartmouth College, magna cum laude, in 1984 with a major in Biochemistry and certification in Environmental Studies. She subsequently earned a Master’s Degree in Regional Planning from the University of Massachusetts and worked for several years performing traffic and transportation studies with a civil engineering firm in Connecticut. Helen earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1994. After beginning practice in Connecticut, Helen moved to Maine’s largest law firm in 1996, where she focused her work on land development permitting, forest products, and solid waste management. She was made a partner in the firm and chaired the firm’s Land Use Practice Team until she transitioned to an “of counsel” position in 2011.
